Staff Profiles

We are very proud of our Nursery staff and the very high standards that they achieve. Staff are recruited very carefully so as to ensure that we have a full age range as well as both male and female nursery nurses. Staff Appraisal and Staff Development is an important part of ensuring that we achieve the highest standards of childcare provision and up to date approaches. In addition to having the right staff we also have a very high retention rate with very few staff leaving the company other than to retire. All staff are renowned for their full commitment to the children.

Kate Karter Officer in Charge Hoole Kate has worked at the Nursery for the last 7 years and has become the Officer-in-Charge having previously been the Deputy Officer. She has led the nursery through an excellent Ofsted inspection and has a number of new and very exciting initiatives which includes the After School and Holiday Clubs as well as a number of pastoral initiatives. Kate is qualified to NVQ Level 4 Nursery Management and has an additional Level 3 in EYFS in practice, having already gained qualifications in After School Care, First Aid, Food Management. She is just about to start reading for a foundation degree in Early Years Studies.

Natalie Thompson Deputy Officer Hoole Village Natalie is the senior of our two Deputy Officers-in-Charge and has been with us for all of her working career. She was appointed Young achiever of the Year for the North West in 2004 which resulted in her going down to The Houses of Parliament to receive her award. Natalie holds qualifications in NVQ Level 3, First Aid and Food Management and has recently achieved her NVQ Level 4 in Childcare, Learning and Development.
